Programs at Sunshine Gardens ES
At Sunshine Gardens Elementary, we offer a variety of programs to support students’ growth, curiosity, and success both inside and outside the classroom. From music and STEM enrichment to leadership and social-emotional learning, our programs provide opportunities for every student to explore new interests, develop skills, and engage with their school community.

Band
Starting in fifth grade, students at Sunshine Gardens Elementary can join the musical band program. Students gain experience on snare and bass drums, and learn to play one of the following instruments: flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, or baritone horn. Lessons take place at each school twice a week.
Garden Art Program
Our Garden Art Program provides students with opportunities to connect with our Sunshine Gradens' Garden while engaging in meaningful, hands-on learning. Students explore gardening, environmental awareness, and artistic expression as they create with items related to our Garden. This program fosters responsibility, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
Gene Academy
Music for Minors
The Music for Minors program introduces our TK-4 to the joy of music through singing, rhythm, movement, and exposure to a variety of instruments and musical styles. This program helps build confidence, listening skills, and collaboration, while giving students a creative outlet to express themselves.
Soul Shoppe
Soul Shoppe helps students develop social-emotional skills, practice mindfulness, and build a positive, supportive school community. Through engaging lessons and activities, students learn empathy, communication, and conflict resolution strategies that help them thrive both in and out of the classroom.
